Traveling

 As teachers, we get to have our summers off. During the school year, everything is so hectic and busy that it's nice to have a long break in the summer. 

I spend my summers as a camp counselor in Framingham. I've gone there since I was a kid and have slowly moved up the ranks. It's a nice easy job and I love that I get to be outside all day everyday. It does get exhausting sometimes and I'm never free but it's a nice job to have.

During the summer is also a great opportunities to travel. The past couple of summers I've had some awesome vacations across the U.S. 

Last summer, my boyfriend and I went out to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. That vacation was amazing, we got perfect weather and we saw some amazing sites. In the Tetons, we got to hike, swim in its famous lake, and even see moose, bison, and pronghorn! We even tried elk and bison meatballs...sorry guys!

After the Tetons we travelled to Yellowstone National Park. This park was amazing and beautiful and I would recommend it to everyone. Here we saw the geysers, hot springs, hiked, and saw some crazy animals like more bison, elk, moose, wolves, and even a grizzly bear!

The summer before, we went to Colorado. We went to Colorado Springs and saw the Garden of the Gods, Red Rocks, drove up Pike's Peak, went to Denver's zoo, saw Estes Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, and many more activities. 

This is another vacation I would recommend if you're an active and outdoorsy person. The views and animals were amazing and there's something about the massive mountains that makes me feel some type of way. 

At the end of this summer we are hoping to head out to Glacier National Park in Montana. I am so excited to hopefully get some good hiking and sight seeing in!

As teachers, we're busy all the time and sometimes it can be hard to find time for ourselves to just take a break. I would love to know about other people's planned vacations or vacations they've done in the past! We're always looking for new ideas, activities, and animals! 

I know https://cheesmannewliteracies.blogspot.com/ works so hard day in and day out so I hope she get to relax this summer! I hope everyone gets the chance to do something fun this summer whether it's traveling somewhere new or just hanging out at home.
