Today my family and I traveled to Buffalo, New York to see Niagara Falls. My mom has been bugging us for a while that she wants to travel and go somewhere once school ended. She was debating between a few places but ultimately decided on Niagara Falls. The drive was a little too long so we decided to fly which was perfect as it was only an hour flight.
Sunday morning we got up at 4am and left the house around 5am for our 7am flight in Boston. We had no problems getting in, until we got to security. We handed the man our IDs and he told us that my sister's birthday on her ID didn't match up with the plane tickets so she had to go back to get it fixed...
By this time it's around 6:30am so we were all panicking a bit that my sister wasn't going to make the plane. The rest of us (my mom, older brother, and myself) all got through security and sat at our gate anxiously waiting for my sister.
After a few short minutes they started calling to board so I text my sister and ask where she is. She said she was still waiting in line at the desk to get it fixed but there were a few families in front of her and a long security line so she said she didn't think she would make it.
We waited a few more minutes for her and while my mom was trying to pull some strings. I decided to board the plane with my brother while my mom waited. I asked the woman scanning our tickets if they would wait for my sister and she said they were missing about 16 people so she would do her best to get her on.
We were sitting on the plane for a few minutes and I text my sister again since the plane was getting ready to go and she said she made it through security but they took her bag to check! So now it was a race against time to get her bags checked and run to our gate.
With 5 minutes to spare, she and my mom walk onto the plane! Not very fun starting vacation with a small anxiety attack! But we all made it.

Hi Nicole!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun trip! Bummer about the ID, that must have been so stressful. When is there not something that goes wrong when traveling, honestly. It's always so much better when everyone is sitting on the plane and at the destination. I'm glad everything worked out! That is a beautiful picture. I have never been, but I would like to soon!

Wow, that was a personal narrative, quite the story.
